I am a mature woman who works as a Tour guide in a local castle , entertaining visitors with tales from long ago, I am a very good singer and have played in many places around Britain and take a keen interest in traditional british music and song, I have been a morris dancer dancing before crowds wearing clogs and bells !! im a slim build , fit, and lively 62 year old who believes life is for living

starting off in folk clubs as solo singer, progressing to duos , trios, then a 5 pice electric band called Spot The Dog. paying in many clubs , mostly England, I am called upon now to sing solo at Burns suppers weddings etc.

mostly my dancing experiences have been through joining a local morris dancing side performing traditional dancing for fetes and dance workshops, but learned to do a little salsa dancing and can of course do some whacky moves in a disco !

this has mostly to do woth my job as a tour guide, I take visitors to Drumlanrig Castle , around the castle on a tour lasting an hour and 15 minutes, telling the history of the castle and its owners accurately and in an entertaining way . visitors of all ages and nationalities come to the Castle and I am a confident host to them

no formal training unless you accept a singing scholarship given to me while at schcool in Stockport Cheshire about 40 years ago

I like to think I would have a go at most things, i love singing and tour guiding I suppose i like to be the centre of attention though have never been an academic person apparently my day dreaming at school held me back !

I love all things traditional and folk music i keep active by walking for miles I love to bakeand have been known to sell my wares for profit !

Miscellaneous Information

I dont Know what else to tell you , I have 4 grown up children and 2 teenage grandchildren , but not yet ready to retire, im looking for a pastime which dosnt involve knitting !
