About Me

I am 19 years old and currently studying Drama at Sunderland university. I have been in theatre groups since 7 and acting has always played a bit part in my life. Last summer I had the priveledge of flying to Montego Bay, Jamaica, to work with young people. While over there I taught these young people a lot of drama skills and games that would help them raise confidence and skills in group work. It was amazing to see the things that I have learnt and use in my every day life making a difference and helping these young people. I have also worked with teens in my own community who find school and working environments hard to deal with, using similar things in workshops to help them gain the confidence they lack. Drama being a big part of my life has helped me deal with a lot of situations and I think it is important that I can help others be able to do the same.

I have completed Gsce's and A-levels in drama and performing arts. at a-level i gained a c in drama and a a* in performing arts. i have trained in two theatre groups since the age of 7, in which i have participated in variouse stage and video productions.

I am a very out going person and I strive to ensure that everything i do is to the best of my ability. I have great personal organisation and time management and i find it easy to work with people from any background. I never stop trying to enhance my acting abilities which means I can sometimes be over critical of myself but it helps my need to be the best i can be. I am quite confident and i consider myself to have good people skills as a result of working in customer service for 5 years. I am very independant and reliable in working and will do extra things to ensure things run smoothly and correctly yet I also work well in a group and sometimes find myself taking a leader type role.

Interests & Hobbies

If I am not using my body in drama to express my artistic nature i am using a camera lense or paint brush. I find art and drama a big part of my life as the creativity i get inspires me to strive for my goals in life. I am very interested in different cultures and the way other people live their lives. I also spend a lot of my spare time dancing.
