About Me

I am passionate about the Arts. I Like all kinds of Music, often attending concerts at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. An avid Theatre goer and I enjoy Drama and Musical Theatre. I am a friend of Manchester Art Gallery and go to various talks and lectures there. I am a member of the British Musc Hall Society and love this kind of entertainment. I'm a lady who lunches!! I love life and laughter (I am a great laugher!) Most importantly I am a wife, proud mother and loving grandmother, these roles bring so much joy in to my life.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I am studying with the Open University - Arts and Humanities. Am also a member of the University of the Third Age. Write poetry and do performances of my own poetry, sometimes with musical accompaniment. Am a qualified Reiki healer, Master and teacher leading workshops of up to 50 people. Have led workshops on Angels, again have had up to 50 people attending. Will be doing a talk in March 2011 for U3A. This will be on the Pre-Raphaelite artists.

Qualifications & Training

Qualifications in typing and shorthand (RSA) Also IIHHT (Institute of Healing and Holistic Therapies.(Aromatherapy, Reflexology and massage. 3 years with Open University with passes in Arts Foundation Course, Literature and World Religions. Am taking a break from OU for this next academic year.

As I have said before, I have led workshops and also do poetry readings, using my own work and often with relevant music. I have appeared (once) on a television station called Reiki healing.

Interests & Hobbies

Music, reading, studying, theatre going, writing poetry and (hopefully getting it published). Attend writing workshops. enjoy cinema, theatre and concerts. Enjoy going to events with friends. Passionate about the Pre Raphaelite painters and enjoy reading books and watching documentaries about them. Enjoy pub quizzing and also watching quizzes on television. Love to sing into my hairbrush when no one is around!!!.Ambition is to learn to play the harp.
