About Me

I would like to introduce myself to you; my name is Gary J Lamont – I am an aspiring actor and have been since 2015. I decided to take up acting after I had suffered a major Stroke in 2015.

After having a near death experience and being told that I should not be even talking or walking (now classed as disabled) I thought ‘why not’ and so here I am trying to make it – I have nothing to lose, only to gain and life is too short not to try.

I understand that acting is a really hard business to crack and have been told expect disappointments along the way as the majority of people don’t make it. The way I look at life now is – if I can beat a stroke, I can do anything if I put my mind to it – so here I am asking for you to view my self-tape and head shot.

I have been training at ‘Act Up North’ then moved to ‘North West-End Acting’.

I have played lead roles in a few student films. I had small role in the film ‘Little Joe’ by Jessica Hausner (which made history by being the first Austrian film to be filmed in Liverpool) and recently done my first paid lead role in a BT Sports advertisement.
