About Me

I am 44 years young and I have a lively personality, I am a hard worker, flexible, and NOT afraid of challenges. I hold a full clean UK driving licence and am available for any film/tv work, commercials, as and when required.
I work full time , but can take holidays and leave at fairly short notice. I have always wanted to be in an acting career, but never had chance to pursue. I would love to be given any opportunity to fulfill this dream.
I can sing very well.
I do not see my age as a hindrance in acting at all - I believe that acting comes from the heart, not just learning lines off a script.

After leaving school in 1983 I attended Merseyside Dance & Drama College in Liverpool, studying dance and drama for a year , but unfortunately I had to leave as college grants were so low and I couldnt afford the college fees.
I learned tap dancing, attended ballet and modern dance classes, and also improved my singing lessons whilst at college.
My drama teacher was the actress Anne Hyden-Edwards, who was an actress in the Liverpool Drama series "Brookside".

Whilst I was in dance and drama school, Frank Clarke a Liverpool film producer was looking for extra drama students to star in his debut film "A Letter to Brezhnev" which was filmed in Liverpool.

I was dancing in a nightclub scene behind the actors Alred Molina and Peter Firth , I behind Peter Firth for about 5 minutes. You can see me on the attached showreal from frame time 5.07 - to about 5.52 . I have a red blouse on with short blonde hair dancing to the left of Peter Firth.

7th May 2011 - appeared in wedding party scene inside St James Church, Rochdale, to film "Free" a film directed by Tommy O'Connor, film is in pre-production at present -link will be posted once completed.
Appeared as "Court Foreperson" in music video shoot for Manchester band "Rawcuss" in May 2011. Please see showreel attached.

Appeared in music video for Nightvision bands music video called " No More Lies" filmed at St Georges Hall, Liverpool on 9th July 2011, as Masquerade Ball guest - video will be released end of August 2011.
Appeared in music video by VideoInk for Khal Skillz music video.
Appeared as lead female role in film called "Afterlife" playing character called Josie - film due for release January 2012.

Relevant Skills

I can sing, dance, drive, swim, cycle, quite fit.Although I was born and bred in Liverpool, I dont consider myself to have a broad "scouse" accent, I can make it stronger, I can talk posh, alter the depth of my voice, from high to low. I think I can mimic a good Lancashire accent well.
I have also studied Italian Language and Culture for 2 years, and can get by a little in Italian conversation.I hold University of Central Lancashire beginners and intermediate passes in Italian language.

Interests & Hobbies

I love animals, I keep a hamster, cycling, keeping fit, singing, dancing, love all Harry Potter movies, love reading novels. Obviously would love to star in a production or film , be on television. Role model actor is Alan Rickman.

Miscellaneous Information

Although I live and work in Preston, Lancashire, I can travel to other parts of the country with reasonable notice for any work that is available.
