About Me

My name is Festus On­asanya been singing since I was 15 years old.
I first realised I could sing when I was in primary school.
It was assembly and we were singing, "The ink is black the page is white", I got carried away and held a note for way to long, everyone looked at me in amazement and I looked down in embarrasment and so it began.
Despite the early start I have only been singing professionally for the past 3-4yrs.
I am a soloist but I also love to sing in groups.
Currently I sing with the London Community Gospel Choir, and in a group called A-flame. As such I sing lead vocal when required or as part of a section.
For the past 1 1/2years, to present, I tour with the "Queen of Soul" Miss Jocelyn Brown.
I have done multiple gigs over the years I have been singing professionally namely:
Rita Ora sessions
Mica Paris BV'S
The David Bowie tribute, with Simon Le Bon, Mark Plati, Mike Garson and Gary Oldman amongst long list of others.
Most recently I did a show called Pitch Battle for the BBC.
I do some studio sessions of my own and have worked with some UK producers such as the Heavytrackers and Ashley Decruz (GanjaMan).
I am pretty versatile, I can sing and do sing pretty much anything except classical as I have never been trained.
My favorite songs and genres to sing are, gospel, soul and RnB.
I am super active and love going to the gym, playing basketball and football. I also love watching sports and film.
My Influences are Jazmine Sullivan, Musiq Soulchild, Kim Burrell, Smokie Norful, Lauren Hill, Le'andrea Johnson And Usher to name but a few.
