About Me

Aye up, I'm Em. I'm 20, from Leeds, and my ultimate goal is to be a director.
I think if I want to direct, then I need as much experience in every and any role that I can, so that includes acting. After all, I'm going to want to understand and direct my actors one day. I have enough experience to know that I can act, and that I really enjoy it, as long as I'm in a professional setting. I'm also a lover of reading, writing and art, although I'm not great at the last one. Most of all though, I just love to be creative, to explore ideas and create new things. I have a great imagination, and I can apply that to everything I do.
Previously, I've worked with ITV and the West Yorkshire playhouse, done a lot of acting roles in college filming projects, and did a 14 week course to get my silver arts award.
I can be shy, but when needed, I can drag myself out of my shell and perform with everything I got.

Employment History & Experience

Most of my acting experience has been on short films made at college with my peers. It did involve various different types of acting however, as I had experience with acting in drama pieces, music videos and talk shows. Also I participated in Extra work on the set of BBC drama series In The Club while at college.
I also did a short course with ITV about job roles in the media industry, here I directed actors, then two years later I was chooses to return and help deliver the course to the next set of people.
Just before ITV, I did a 14 week course with first floor and received my silver arts award. The main project for this award was a play put on by the whole group and performed at West Yorkshire playhouse in front of 350 people. I wrote one of three segments of the play and acted in all parts of the performance.
I also took performing arts at GCSE level, however found this difficult due to others not taking the course seriously, however I still achieved a PASS.
