About Me

Strengths

• I have always been a very confident performer and have never really felt the nerves as I stepped out onto the stage. When meeting new people I can easily hold a conversation and make a good impression. This will be useful when it comes to speaking to potential employers.
• I also benefit from a great deal of support from friends and family. Whilst going through school, I would be complimented for the variety of performances I’d made at school concerts and shows at Sterts Theatre. My family would encourage me to be part of a new Theatre group or take part in a play at school.
• Appearing in these shows and performances has allowed me to develop my skills in singing and acting. I’ve managed to obtain my first concert certificate in singing, after taking lessons for a year. This shows potential employers that I have gained a professional qualification in my skills.
• My other interests in theatre, such as costume and design, have enabled me to be prepared to compromise. I would be happy to work back stage or even in Arts admin or marketing, showing how versatile I am.
• I have the opportunity to go to America to work, as I have a social Security number and an American passport. This gives me many opportunities over there as well as here.
I have a full UK driving license.


Weaknesses

• I also suffer from Asthma which, although it is very common, could have an impact on my health.
• I also live in an area that may not have as much to offer as perhaps bigger rural areas such as London or Manchester. Here, there may be more opportunities for me as a performer.

Opportunities

• I have been a member of Sterts Theatre Company for six years and have appeared in a number of semi-professional productions. I have also been an active member of Selah Youth Theatre Company for two years and have taken part in two well reclaimed devised pieces of theatre as well as a number of workshops. Being a part of these theatre groups has enabled me to become more confident on stage. It has allowed me to take part in a wide variety of shows which has made me very versatile as a performer.
