I have been creating original music since leaving school. I come from a background of music, drama/theatre and dance (namely ballet). My current musical endeavour is pushing me to find personas within the performances, I would like to explore this further and step into acting. When performing in any setting I am able to become fully immersed in the art.

I write, record and perform every week. My solo project Ebony Grace has recorded with indie labels as well as releasing my own music. This is singer-songwriter material, often with experimental songwriting and production. I have performed all around the UK at live music events and festivals, as well as at weddings and I have busked. I have been commissioned to compose for a short film for Psylo Fashion and have provided vocals for various radio adverts. My current priority is prog-pop band The Case Of Us. We play experimental rock with catchy melodies and influences from sci-fi themes. With this project I am front-woman; due to the nature of the music I am able to express many different "characters" for different songs. I have gained lots of performance experience and have developed skills such as being an extroverted rocker onstage; expressing myself soulfully and emotionally; and being energetic and engaging. I play piano, synthesisers and sing; when I am not playing a keyboard I move around the stage and dance. The often very dark nature of the music results in some 'distorted' dancing and screams within the singing, due to this I am able to express myself in a seemingly hurt and distressed way - I think this would be suited for acting in horror. I have appeared as a session vocalist and pianist in other artists' recordings and live shows.

I studied ballet with The Royal Academy of Dance; I received 6 distinctions and 2 merits when completing grade 1-8. Alongside exams, the school ran performances. These were my first experiences of performing live and I have been appearing onstage since I was three. These were unpaid, but provided experience of being backstage, preparing for a show and performing to an audience.

I have been hired for various entertainment roles. I have played solo music at several weddings; this consisted of learning requested cover songs as well as some popular covers. I performed by playing either guitar or piano to accompany my voice. In 2016 I was involved with a local pantomime in Devon. I acted as one of the leading roles and also provided some live music for the show. In my final year of school I was also cast in The Little Shop of Horrors; in this I had a vocal solo as well as several lines. I was also part of the chorus and assisted in choreographing group dance and movement. I have assisted in several school choirs; I am able to write harmonies and arrange vocal parts.

General Experience

My experience in the music industry has given me skills in both the performance and behind-the-scenes aspects of live shows. I organise and attend weekly rehearsals for my project, The Case Of Us as well as writing and rehearsing in my own time. I am able to manage projects as well as organise and promote live events. I carry out my own music publishing and run social media for my projects.

Relevant Skills

I am a skilled pianist and am able to use synthesisers to manipulate sounds to create interesting and unique soundscapes and music. I am driven and spend most of my day practicing songwriting, instrumentation and vocals. I have worked in many different groups and am confident that I can get on with people of all personality types. I love arts and media and am inspired by seeing people's ideas unfold and manifest. Although I have a small amount of concrete acting experience, I would like to explore this aspect of performance by taking the confidence and stage presence I have developed as a performing musician to express myself with body language, dialogue and my face.

Interests & Hobbies

Living in Brighton allows me to walk in the South Downs, bike along the coast and swim in the sea. Alongside this, I spend my time reading and researching into new topics as and when I discover them. I am interested in science, art, film, music, fiction and metaphysics.

Miscellaneous Information

I am fortunate enough to find myself with many creative outlets; my hopes for the future are that at least one of them will provide me with enough of an income to continue to devote my time to each of them. Likely job roles include composing, arranging and recording for visuals/sync; performing and recording original music; teaching music.
