About Me

I retired from teaching full time 15 years ago and have been enjoying life very much since! I live with my husband, who is also retired now. We have a doughter who lives about twenty minutes away from us. There are no grand-children, and not likely to be any!!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and am glad to say that it now seems to be behind me. I am feeling fit and very well. I have joined a support group which meets once a month.
I have a wide circle of friends and enjoy evenings, weekends and holidays together. They are all quite a lot younger than me, which,I think, help to keep my outlook young.
I have been interested in doing some 'extras' work for some time.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I was in several school plays and college productions. I helped, for a short time with the props for an amateur operatic group. When teaching I was responsible for the school Christmas productions, writing the plays and organising the music. I used to play the piano too!

Qualifications & Training

I have no official qualifications regarding acting and theatre.

Other Information

Relevant Skills

As a teacher for many years I am used to standing up in front of people, young and old, and speaking. I also feel 'acting' is part of teaching!

Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy walking and am a member of a walking group I also read a lot, and enjoy doing sudokus.

I have been a volunteer witn The Witneess Support Service for seven years and go one day a week to Bolton Crown Court to help victims and witnesses cope with the stresses of giving evidence in court.

I love travel and seeing other countries.I have been to many countries all round the world. Latterly I have come to enjoy cruising.

I enjoy a wide selection of music from classical to modern. I enjoy going to the theatre.
