Interests & Hobbies

My main interests are: Webmaster for my own genealogy web site, Photography & Socialising.
I also enjoy travelling and taking part in outdoor pursuits i.e. Mountain biking and hiking.

Miscellaneous Information

2004 - 2007, I was an active volunteer at the North East Aircraft Museum, Washington. One of my responsibilities was to market and publicise the Museum. I also worked with a small team looking after the Museum’s Collections database.

1999 - 2003 I was actively involved with Beamish Open Air Museum. Based at the Regional Resource Centre I worked alongside Hannah Maddox, Assistant Keeper of Social History, on various projects including collections photography and the digitizing of paper records.

1984 - 1999, I was actively involved with the Sunderland Group of Advanced Motorists, a voluntary group, set-up to promote road safety and Advanced Driver training. Over the years, my appointments included – Senior Observer, Training Officer, PR and Communications Officer, Elected Group Chairman.
