About Me

Hi my name is Daniel Pike and I am based in Gravesend in Kent. After a long break from acting as a child I have recently started performing again with some success. My first two performances in both full length and one act plays have landed me a Best Debut nomination from the KDA and a Best Supporting Actor win from the Duncan Rand festival. I have also received positive reviews from the Sardines amature dramatic publication. Looking to further my experience and ultimately career in acting by hopefully repeating my success.

Since a young age I have amassed years of experience in amateur theatre. Only recently returning as an adult I have performed in two productions. One of Jezz Butterworths "Mojo" in which I played Sweets and received a "Best Debut" nomination from the KDA and as Bernard in "Last Tango In Little Grimly" for which I won "Best Supporting Actor" at the Duncan Rand festival. I am currently set to appear in local productions of "The Hollow" as the Inspector; "Sister Act The Musical" and Officer Eddie Souther and in "Glengarry Glen Ross" as Ricky Roma. The last of which is an entry into next years KDA festival.

I have experience in presenting live in various amateur shows. I also co-hosted a prime time radio show for MHS radio and the Sunlight Trust based in Gillingham. I also hosted a number of web shows for Pro Spirit that were frequently broadcast on youtube until the company's unfortunate closure.

I have compared many amateur show nights and cabarets locally. As a DJ I co-hosted two prime time shows, one for MHS Radio and the other for Sunlight Trust based in Gillingham. I also presented an amusing show for Pro Spirir/Pro Legacy on youtube which focused on picking fun at current affairs.

General Experience

I have experience in amateur theatre and have studied Drama up to an A level qualification. As a child I was part of an amateur dramatics group form the ages of 9 - 16. After a long break I have recently returned as an adult and have so far performed in Jez Butterworth's Mojo and in the one act play Last Tango In Little Grimley. For Mojo I received a Best Debut nomination and For Last Tango I picked up a Best Supporting Actor award at the Duncan Rand Festival. I am currently rehearsing for my parts in three upcoming amateur productions. These are the Inspector in Agetha Christies "The Hollow", Eddie Southland in "Sister Act The Musical" and Ricky Roma in "Glengarry Glen Ross" which will also be entered into next years KDA festival.

As well as acting I also enjoy travelling and am very lucky to have seen a number of different places and cities around the world. I also enjoy sports and generally just spending time with friends.
