About Me
Hi! I'm Daniel, 6'1 blonde haired blue eyed lad from Nottingham. I love anything outdoorsy like running, hiking, kayaking and beer gardens. I am a creative person that is always looking for a creative outlet, whether that be through music, books, films or photography. I have recently got back into acting after studying at 'The Actors Workshop Nottingham' and 'The Derby Academy of Acting' and it has rekindled my love for the art form and have found it a great way to let off some "creative steam". At the weekends you can usually find me off running somewhere and then catching up with family and friends.

Employment History & Experience
Whilst studying for my BA (Hons) in Video Production I got a chance to work with many professional actors which led me to acting in several short films and commercials. It was a great experience and taught me valuable lessons in working on the “other side of the lens” as opposed to constantly being behind the lens.

Employment History & Experience
During my time working as a Cruise Consultant onboard cruise ships, I would have to perform weekly presentations to hundreds of guests onboard in the main theatre. This was a great chance to explore my performance on the stage and to perfect the delivery of my speeches to the guests in the theatre.

General Experience
Having trained with ‘The Actors Workshop Nottingham’ and ‘The Derby Academy of Acting’ I have studied the craft of acting with an emphasis placed on understanding text, practicing the techniques required to establish motivation and develop character, and the importance of being fully engrossed in the world of the scene. The styles we have been introduced to are the teachings of a number of theatre practitioners, including Stanislavski, Strasberg, Adler, Meisner and Brecht, as well as more modern approaches, applied to a variety of scenes and texts.

Qualifications & Training
With regards to my acting I have been studying under two working professionals at, ‘The Actors Workshop Nottingham’ and ‘The Derby Academy of Acting’. Both have provided me invaluable insight into working as an actor for the stage and screen. In the workshops, we have been studying the craft of acting with an emphasis placed on understanding text, practicing the techniques required to establish motivation and develop character, and the importance of being fully engrossed in the world of the scene. The styles we have been introduced to are the teachings of a number of theatre practitioners, including Stanislavski, Strasberg, Adler, Meisner and Brecht, as well as more modern approaches, applied to a variety of scenes and texts. Furthermore I have taken additional courses, specifically a ‘Mindfulness for Actors’ with Dr William Van Gordon in conjunction with The Actors Workshop. Prior to these acting workshops I have obtained a BA (Hons) in Video Production specialising in Editing and Cinematography. Furthermore, I have National Diploma in Photography.

Interests & Hobbies
I am a keen runner and whilst recently completing the Manchester Marathon I am currently in training for the Robin Hood Nottingham Half Marathon. I find running a great way to help clear my mind, and a great tool to help me focus on my goals. Nothing quite beats the feeling of putting on some good music and running. Music is also a big passion of mine; music allows me to escape into whatever emotion I may be feeling which leads me trying to get to as many live gigs as possible – to hear the music live is an incredible experience.
