About Me

I am a multi-skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated performer. I challenge myself by taking on a variety of different roles, from Shakespeare and Wilde to the fun and energy of pantomimes and musicals. Although I have worked in education since I was 18, I have never neglected my passion for acting and have involved myself whole heartedly in many amateur productions. I am eager now to use my acting skills in a professional setting and pursue a career in acting.

In terms of paid experience, I have been a drama teacher for 2 years and a drama support teacher for 4. I have taught at a middle school in Hertfordshire (where I was also Leader of Drama) and on Saturdays with Theatretrain in Cambridge (with children 6 to 18 years of age).

My personal acting experience has been with several amateur dramatic groups and has so far been unpaid. In this context, I have been involved in several plays a year since the age of 10, often taking on leading roles. Recently, I have taken varied lead roles in patomimes, Shakespeare and Wilde.

As a singer/songwriter and pianist, I have played my own songs in many local venues and also to larger crowds at some festivals. I have also been paid to play the piano at several weddings and corporate events.

General Experience

From a very young age I have been a part of several plays a year, varying from musicals and pantomimes, to Shakespeare and Wilde. I have involved myself passionately in local amateur dramatic groups where I have been able to develop and extend my acting skills.

For the past six years, I have been working in education. I began as a support assistant in the drama/music department of a school in Hertfordshire, and have since taken on a drama teaching role and leader of drama role. In school, I have run drama clubs and directed school productions. One year, I wrote the music for one of our school productions.

I have also recently started teaching drama at weekends with Theatretrain in Cambridge.
