About Me

After completing 22 years service in the British Army, in 2003, my military post evolved into a civilian post to enable me to continue in my professional capacity as an experienced Occupational and Social Welfare Officer, awarded a D grade post, this is equivalent to the rank of Captain.
I have a 10 year history supporting the Charity Soldiers, Sailors, Air Force, Association-Forces Help (SSAFA FH), initiating and organising fundraising events and evening functions with the support of my committee members in order to support families in need. Chair of SSAFA FH Rheindahlen German 2005 to 2007, nominated and awarded volunteer of the year 2006 - 2007 by HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO.

I am a member of the British Golf Club Association and I am also a qualified sailor, Level 2, with the British Yacht Club. I enjoy walking, cycling and touring Europe in our Knaus camper van.

Our children are now employed or at university, which means that Angela, my beatuiful wife and I have time to take on new experiences and challenges.

I have experienced acting once in a amature production whilst in serving Germany, which I was pleasently suprised at how much I enjoyed acting and the thrill it gave me. I have had various working roles in my life within the military environment from around the world. Prior to joing the Army I lived on a farm.

I am a quick learner, enthusiastic and committed to challenges and experiences. I enjoy getting the most out of life and having fun.
