About Me

My name is Ciera Johnson-Cooper. I have a huge love for the creative side of life, and acting is my favourite thing to do. I have a lot of experience on stage, my biggest role being Dorothy Gale in the Wizard of Oz. I have a strong period look, and feel that I would fit well in to the sector of period drama, as I have a great interest and love for history. Due to my love for history, I am also a keen writer, and have written many things for my own enjoyment. One of my successful stories was written for my school's Young Play writes festival. I wrote a period play set in 1920s America. The story centred on two individuals who gambled, ending up swapping lives. My play was chosen to be produced by directors and performed over 3 nights. This was a great achievement for me as I have a love for acting, and got to play the main part in a production that I had created. Lastly, I have a soprano voice and have recently gained a merit in my Grade 8 musical Theatre examination. I hope to go on to complete my diploma this year.

I have a great deal of acting experience within the field of theatre and musicals. I started acting at a young age. I have been in many shows such as Guys and Dolls, The producers, Oliver, The Sound of music, The Addams Family and Alice in Wonderland. I have most recently gained the role of Dorothy Gale in the wizard of Oz. I have plenty of stage experience, but am now looking to gain experience withing television and film. My preferred field would be period drama as I obtain a period look and also have a great love for anything historical.

Interests & Hobbies

My main interest is acting but I also obtain other hobbies such as writing and researching history. One of the main things I like to do in my time is visit historical landmarks such as castles and manor houses. This comes from my love of history. Visiting places like this gives me a fantastic historical understanding, meaning that I am able to produce my own work based on these things.
