I was a solutions analyst for sixteen years, and that role required adapting to any given situation. So from negotiating contracts with a French speaking boardroom to dealing with an angry consultant, I have to slip into the appropriate persona to deal with that situation. You probably wouldn't class it as acting, but it's as close to improv as you would get outside the acting industry.
