About Me
Currently I am studying a two year National Diploma in Performing Arts. This course has enabled me to gain a vast array of acting skills and techniques.
I served 8 years in the armed forces from the age of 16 until I left in July 2009. I experienced a lot, I’m only twenty five and have completed two tours; I went to Iraq in 2003 and then Afghanistan in 2008. During my time as a soldier I travelled to places, such as California to repair U.A.V’S little spy planes.
I have also been to San Francisco and Canada where I drove various military tanks and vehicles and spent time in Germany where I went parachuting for a few weeks. Although I have experienced a lot of challenging issues, my sense of humour has remained in tact.
In 2009 I gained a diploma in TV presenting and was taught by Sally Gray at the London Academy of TV, film and radio, and learnt the skills needed as a TV presenter like autocue to vox pops, etc. I have a lot of positive experiences to share, both academic and personal skills including working under pressure, working as part of a team and have worked with many different people from various backgrounds and cultures. In addition I can work well independently.
From the age of sixteen I have learnt new skills in acting by joining a drama club where I worked on a production of Blood Brothers which was a sell out.
When I was on that stage performing for the audience I never felt more intrigued and alive, I loved it and wanted more. So I decided it was time to pursue my passion of being a part of the world of Performing Arts. In addition to this I left the Army in 2009 to give it my all, a full hundred percent. This is the reason why I chose to leave the Army and to pursue my training as an actor. In September 2009 I joined the National Diploma in Performing Arts at Highbury College to further develop my experiences in Performing Arts to put me in good stead

This is the reason why I chose to leave the Army and to pursue my training as an actor. In September 2009 I joined the National Diploma in Performing Arts at Highbury College to further develop my experiences in Performing Arts to put me in good stead for university. At Highbury College I have learned about different practitioners like Stanislavski, Rudolf Laban, Bertolt Brecht and Sarah Cain and the different acting styles used like Commedia dell’arte, theatre of cruelty, naturalism, realism and physical theatre. My acting skills are now at a good level and I wish to enhance my techniques further whilst training on your course. During the summer half term I helped my tutor in after college activities teaching younger learners, aged 12 to 16, basic acting skills. I worked with students with learning difficulties where I helped and performed in their end of year production at Highbury College. This involved assisting my tutor with her summer school acting courses and performances outside of college times at the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth. Recently I have just finished a corporate film for Highbury College which entailed promoting the college’s library and health and safety within the library, this is shown to the fresh intake of students on induction week. Currently I worked and performed in the production of West Side Story which was sold out at the New Theatre Royal playing the role of officer Krupke.
For the past year I have been working along side Highbury College to promote the New Theatre Royal to younger target audiences and the local area.
Recently I took up a course learning basic circus skills which was funded by the N.H.S to help clinically obese children become more active at the New Theatre Royal.
I currently entered myself for open mic nights in my local area to perform stand-up comedy, which is another interest of mine.
