About Me

My name is Chiara Vinci, I am an international Soprano of Italian and French Heritage with a strong background in physical theatre, movement and professional dance. I originally trained as a dancer at The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary dance and Arts Educational in London.

Shortlisted in 2017 for Best Female Opera Singer by the Wales Theatre Awards for singing the role of Sophie Scholl in Polly Graham’s award winning production of Kommilitonen!, by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Chiara received praise in the Guardian for her performance with the Welsh National Youth Opera “..it was Chiara Vinci’s Sophie that stood out, incredibly moving, naturally poised and with a lovely bloom to the voice.” In 2018, Chiara made her West End debut in the World premier of TriOperas at The Peacock Theatre, Sadlers Wells. This year also saw Chiara make her debut in the role of Gretel/Hänsel und Gretel (Pop Up Opera), Amore/L\'Incoronazione di Poppea (Longborough Festival Opera), Serpina/La Serva Padrona in Venice (L’Offerta Musicale & Ad Parnassum), and Bubikopf in Viktor Ullmann’s Der Kaiser Von Atlantis with Loud Crowd. Previous operatic roles include Chiara’s classical opera debut in 2016 as The Shepherd Boy in Longborough Festival Opera’s Tannhäuser, directed by Alan Privett and conducted by Anthony Negus, for which she received sparkling reviews, Adina/L\'Elisir D\'Amore (WOW Opera) and Carolina/Il Matrimonio Segreto (Pop Up Opera). Current projects include Flora in Britten\'s The Turn of the Screw, conducted by Kelvin Lim with Aylesbury Opera.
