About Me
Cherelle Rose Mukoko is a British born Jamaican model and beauty queen born in the cosmopolitan city of London. Cherelle began her quest to become a model and beauty queen in her early teens after being inspired by Tyra Banks, she then went on to enter into the spotlight when she entered the Miss England competition.
On March 23rd 2013 Cherelle was the first black women to be crowned Miss Universe London, One of the three largest beauty contest in the world, this gave Cherelle direct entry into Miss Universe Great Britain on June 8th 2013 where she placed top 5 and was given the award for Best beach body after losing three stone in preparation for the competition. Cherelle’s inspirational weight loss was admired by many in the beauty and fitness industry and she was asked to do a page spread in women’s health magazine on all her fitness tips and tricks.
Cherelle’s pageant career began to flourish and in 2013 she went onto win the title of Miss Jamaica UK 2013/ 2014 and is known to be one of the brands most popular queens, with her endless career opportunities that she embarked on during her reign. 2014 was a successful year for the queen as she was commended for her achievements and was awarded \'modelling and branding of the year\' at the ebony recognition awards, \'Beauty queen of the year\' at the international achievement awards and won ‘Best beauty queen’ at the prestigious and popular Beffta awards. Following on from all her success in the pageant industry, Cherelle began to use her academic skills in English and merged her two talents by becoming a freelance Travel, Lifestyle and Beauty writer.
In 2016 Cherelle won the title of Miss Grand England, as a black woman this was a massive career highlight for Cherelle, she has always wanted to showcase the diversity in her country and this gave her the opportunity to represent her country on an international level in front of millions. Cherelle went on to be the representative for England along with 100 other contestants at the Miss Grand international competition in Las Vegas, she then won the best in evening gown segment of the competition and is given recognition via Wikipedia.
Being in the entertainment industry was always going to come naturally to Cherelle with her father being a double award winning radio Presenter and her brother being a musician she was on a mission to continue the family success. Cherelle says \'when I was younger I was brought up in a society where I believed women couldn\'t achieve anything significant and that men were the breadwinners, many inspirational women have paved the way for me and I will continue to empower women because we can achieve greatness\'.
Cherelle\'s modelling portfolio is rapidly expanding after being signed to top modelling agency BMA in the UK, Cherelle can be seen floating on the catwalk at London fashion week, fronting a campaign for distinguished brand Revlon, to being a fit model for Beyonce and that’s just to name a few. The young model’s career looks like it is set to go from strength to strength.
