As someone who works in hospitality, I am naturally required to put on a 'persona' on a day to day basis in order to deal with customers and members of the public which involved acting in an assertive and confident manner despite how I may be feeling underneath. This is a skill which has not only enabled me to act more confidently towards people, but has also helped me to develop high levels of patience and an ability to behave in a level-headed manner in stressful situations. Working in hospitality has helped me to develop a 'poker-face' which I am also learning to transfer to other ares of my life, such as dealing with difficult people or situations I find challenging or frightening and has helped me to learn that having a hard shell can actually be extremely useful when dealing with the stresses of day-to-day life.
Other skills I have developed which may be considered relevant to acting work include my own interests of writing poetry, some of which I have performed publicly and music.
