Relevant Skills

40+ years of legal practice including court advocacy. Between 1981 and 2008 I also had a busy career of very regular (often daily/weekly) media performance in radio, TV and newspapers - mainly in Scotland but I also spent a few years working on a weekly live current affairs show for BBC Radio 5 Live and had work from Radio 4, plus some acting in corporate TV projects. I made the choice in 2008 to concentrate on the "day job" running and building my legal practice. I have now retired from that, I am trying to concentrate on performance again.

Interests & Hobbies

4th Dan black belt in Shotokan karate. Semi-professional portrait artist (see Austin Lafferty and Austin Lafferty Arts Exchange on Facebook). I have run several marathons and many other races.

Miscellaneous Information

I am in my early 60's, fit and active, available for a wide range of work. I am regularly in London for business and family visits. When I left school in 1976 I had career choices - art school, law school, drama school. I picked the law but kept active in my other loves.
