Are you a versatile and creative musician looking for a new career in teaching and performing? We are currently seeking a talented and inspiring musician to train as one of our unique Choir Leaders to take over existing choirs in Macclesfield, Wlimslow, Marple & New Mills. Exciting and life-affirming, We are looking for new talent to join the existing team to lead and inspire communities across the UK. We were the first contemporary choir in the UK offering a non-audition, inclusive amateur singing experience. Now, with 25000 members and a team of 100 dedicated individuals, it has celebrated 10 years of life-changing experiences, winning numerous awards for its standards of excellence and dedication to communities and charities country-wide.
As a Rock Choir Leader, you will be fully trained for the role and will need a high standard of piano and vocal skills (Equivalent to ABRSM grade 7). You will also need a positive and energetic approach to work and a caring, happy and charismatic personality.
The role of a Rock Choir Leader is versatile encompassing teaching, performing, leading, conducting, planning and administration. It is very fulfilling and rewarding but hard work! Choir rehearsals take place in term time evenings and mornings with events and performances taking place inside and outside that timetable. There are many opportunities for the Rock Choir Leaders to perform on TV, Radio and on stage at large pop-concerts including The London O2, Wembley Arena and The NEC Arena. There is a supportive and friendly HQ team who organise events, marketing, training, resources and create all the musical arrangements and resources you will need.
A driving licence and access to a car (daily) is a necessity and a PA system will be needed to accompany the role.
