Ever wondered why your demos are ignored by labels and managers?

There are simple rules which take years to learn - I know, I've been there and learned the hard way. Having now successfully signed artists to major record labels, I am well placed to advise you on the way forward. I run a songwriting and management team, managing and writing for artists signed to Universal and EMI. Songs I have written and produced have been played on Radio 1, Radio 2, XFM, 6music, Channel 4, BBC1, BBC2 and SkyOne. I regularly visit A & R to discuss what they are looking for and play them tracks from exciting new artists.

What will you get?

A full evaluation of the song you send, covering the structure, lyrics, melody, vocals, sound, mix and its potential place in the marketplace. Its a wealth of experience in one e-mail, applied to your song in detail.

One of the main problems you will have when playing your demos to people is getting genuine criticism - people rarely say what they actually think. If someone in the industry hears it and doesn't like it, they are most likely to ignore it. Friends and family are ALWAYS more likely to support you no matter what and rarely have the industry expertise to effectively evaluate your tracks. Whilst this support is very much needed at times, unfortunately if you don't get the right advice you will be held back. It takes a long time to make it in this business, believe me, so the sooner you get the advice you need the better.
