Do you want to reconnect with a parent you don’t see very often? Have you got an important event coming up that you’d like them to attend?

TiFiNi is developing a sensitive and honest documentary for Channel 4 and we’re looking for young people (16-25) who have lost touch with a parent and now want to reconnect, especially for an upcoming event in their lives.

It can be anything that’s important to you. A wedding, birthday, graduation, birth of a child, sports game or performance - anything that’s made you think about getting back in touch with your mum or dad.

There are lots of reasons why you may have lost touch – parents’ separation, no longer living close to one another, your parent may have spent time in prison or have had some difficult problems of their own to deal with. Whatever your story, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for people to take part in a taster tape which we’re hoping will lead to a full documentary.

The programme would follow the experience of several young people and their families as they go through the ups and downs of inviting their mum or dad back into their life.
