Anton is a vulnerable character who is fighting with the demons in his own head. He believes he is seeing/hearing things but overcomes these visions by brushing them off and choosing to ignore them. However, as these visions grow more vivid and include members of his own family, Anton grows more uncomfortable and angry as the film progresses. He is notably absent from reality and lives in a bubble of ignorance and his own demons that continually haunt him. He is an incredibly nervous/awkward individual who is the pinnacle of pessimism.
