Details:
We are looking for 3 male actors aged 20-55 to star in our short film, loosely adapted from Edgar Allan Poe's story 'The Tell-Tale Heart'. The shoot will take place a little outside London, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire but we plan to cover for travel expenses and food. It will last the whole day, as we will shoot the film all in the same location and the same day. In fact, the script is equally divided in day, dawn and night sequences, so you will be required to be there most part of the day, according to your role.
The available roles are:
- Detective #1: Polite, well-mannered and truth-driven officer, investigating a potential murder.
- Detective #2: Forward, abrupt, not very patient officer, partner of the investigation.
- Vulture: a slightly chubby, naive and gullible man who will be the victim of the murder.
The detective roles are required until sun goes down, while Vulture will be required to stay in the last part of the shoot, in the afternoon/evening/night. The whole shoot should start around 8am and finish around 10pm.
Auditions will take place on request on Sunday 17th, Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th in Ealing, although different locations might be considered.
This is a very ambitious project as we aim to deliver a much deeper representation of Poe's characters and story, and we plan to send the final result to many festivals. It can be a great opportunity for your showreels too. The location we secured is a Waterside Log Cabin that will benefit the looks of the film greatly.
Applicants can contact us on " madmenshort@yahoo.com " or here and will be required to send a profile or pictures and info. Please, do not hesitate to contact us for any other information.
Many thanks in advance
