Treatment:
Abigail is sitting in an American style diner booth over morning coffee, talking to somebody we cannot perceive completely. She is recounting a dream she had the night before.
The audience is immersed in this memory with her, where there is no longer any dialogue. In it, it is morning time in her house and she prepares herself some breakfast. She approaches the table setting two mats with cutlery and takes a bite of her greasy dish. Suddenly, there is a sense of uneasiness in her as she grabs the next bite of her breakfast in the most ordinary way. Nevertheless, this time she bites into a hand lying on her plate and chews normally, ignoring the arbitrariness of the situation. When she looks up, she recognizes herself sitting in the opposite chair. She quickly looks back to her plate forcibly snapping back into ‘reality’. Suddenly, she encounters her previous conventional breakfast. Relieved, she looks back up but surprisingly she still can see her own self, sitting there, observing her.
We go back to the conversation in the diner as she finishes recounting her night tale, acknowledging the secluded emotional hole she is not permitting herself to escape. As she departs, a confused and thoughtful man is revealed, a complete stranger to her life.
