Leah’s Stepfather Steve is an alcoholic. He’s been to jail three times all for gbh. He and Leah’s mother met in a drug counselling session, he moved in two weeks after they met. He’s barely ever spoken to Leah and doesn't care about her or her mothers needs.

He abuses Leah (this isn't shown visually in the short) hes an angry and aggressive character. Must be able to grow a short beard to give the gritty appearance we are looking for.
Males, aged 30 to 50 from Nottingham.


FEMALE - Leah’s mother Rachael is an alcoholic. She’s been an alcoholic for 3 years after turning to drink when loosing her job and house. She isn’t the best mother; she doesn’t bother with Leah nor does she acknowledge her.

There is no appearance requirement other then the costume and make up we will be using.

Must be able to play a challenging and emotional role.
Females, aged 25 to 40 from Nottingham.


FEMALE - You will play LEAH when she is older, we do not see you on screen but you are the voice over throughout the story.

Must be having a very empathetic voice and be able to adapt to a role even if you are not visually playing in the scene.
Females, aged 20-30 from Nottingham.
