This short film is a small section of a much larger story. The general logline of the larger story is a new attraction/zoo is opening up on earth (like disneyland for example) that will house alien creatures from all around the galaxy. A group of scientists have gone to a far away planet to capture alien animals and bring them back to earth for everyone's entertainment.
The short film will take place on the far away planet called "Labos". A female zoologist named Sally Roberts arrives on Planet Labos to help capture and log the alien animals to take back to Earth. But when she is kidnapped by an alien creature that starts to protects her from own friends, she must learn nature is a lot stronger than man.
The short film has three main characters:
Sally Roberts
At the start of the film, Sally is seen as geeky and has no other interests apart of all animals (earthly or alien). By the end of the film, Sally goes from geek to chic and finds true love.
Jason Black
Jason is an engineer on board the spaceship named the "ARK". Jason presents no fear in anything he does.
General Isaac Crane
Leader of the Special Forces Unit aboard the Ark. He has no emotion and sympathy for anything. Crane has served in the military his entire life.
Auditions will be done via video submission. You will be sent a part of the script to perform. If you are successful, rehearsals will take place early November to late December.
Filming will take place early January on weekdays for 2-4 days (9am-5pm) over 2 weeks. You will be paid expenses and be given food on set. Also, you will be given a digital copy when the film is complete so you can edit it into your showreel.
