Actors wanted for an LCC grad film ‘The Garden’. We are looking for a variety of actors to feature in this student film – shooting will be location based and will aim to take place from the 24th of February to the 1st of March 2020 (specific dates/times tbc) around London.
Whilst this will not be a paid opportunity, this is a great chance to grow your portfolio and showreel and will be massively helpful to us! (Please note that your travel, food and general expenses will be covered by us across shoot days – all actors will also be provided with a copy of the final film).
Auditions will be held at the London college of communication, Elephant and Castle, SE1 6SB (directly opposite the E&C tube station) on 3rd February 2020 (more auditions dates to be confirmed).
*SYNOPSIS*
A gardener with a troubled past of an incident involving a young girl being murdered in a shed receives the call that his father is dying in the hospice of his old town. He refuses to see him but is convinced by the hospice manager to come when the manager expresses he wants the garden redone and the shed torn out. The shed being the scene of the crime he is involved in he decides to go not knowing what is waiting for him when he arrives.
*SEEKING*
MAIN CHARACTERS:
• Protagonist – Jude – MALE character in his 30’s
Jude is a gardener who looks run down by life and consistently haggard, maybe looking older than his age.
• Antagonist – Dev – MALE character aged late 50’s/60’s
Dev is the Devil in disguise, taking on the image of an older man that is revealed to be the other individual in the shed during the incident. He appears neat and handsome and has aged well.
SUPPORTING CHARACTERS:
• Older female actor – preferably aged in her 70’s/80’s.
• Young female actor – preferably aged 18-20 – looking for someone who looks young as the character is a teenager.
• Luce/Nurse – female character in their 20’s
