Logline:
After the tragic death of his long-term girlfriend, Peter struggles to move on. But when he starts to receive texts from his girlfriend’s phone, Peter wonders if she is communicating with him from beyond the grave.

Short Synopsis:
After losing his girlfriend in a tragic accident, Peter has cut himself off from everything and struggles to move on. Living with his father, who he has a dysfunctional relationship with; Peter keeps a photo frame of him and Lisa at the beach, their special place.

We see that Peter’s friends are constantly offering him support to move on, but he refuses to take up the offer. He regularly visits the beach where he went with Lisa. Peter then starts to receive text messages from his dead girlfriend’s phone number. He goes along with it as it helps him move on, but it leaves him wondering who is behind the text messages.

On his birthday, Peter discovers that his friends were involved in sending the texts and becomes furious. Peter locks himself in his room and sits to scroll through the messages between him and ‘Lisa’. Peter and his dad communicate with his dad on the other side of Peter’s bedroom door, and after a heart-to-heart conversation, Peter’s dad reveals that it was in fact him that sent the text messages. This angers Peter, as he believes this is done as a torment, but slowly he realises that it was for the best for him and they start to rebuild their relationship.

Peter unlocks his door to let his dad in to give him Lisa’s phone. He places it down on his bed. The next day, we see Peter at the beach again. It appears like he can see Lisa, but his dad taps his shoulder, and he awakens, and we see it is his friends. As Peter joins his friends in the water, the camera zooms into Peter’s phone receiving a text message from Lisa. This leaves us wondering who sent the text message.

Peter’s dad is a hard-working individual but a strict father to Peter. He is in his mid-forties. He holds strong religious and traditional values and because of this, he does not approve of Peter and Lisa’s relationship. Him and Peter do not have a great relationship together and this is emphasized throughout the film. He doesn’t find out about the death of Lisa until later on in the story, and this changes his attitude towards Peter. He desperately tries to rebuild his relationship with Peter, and even works with Peter’s friends by starting to send text messages to Peter from Lisa’s phone number. When Peter finds out about this, he doesn’t take kindly to this. However, Peter eventually forgives him and they start over with a clean slate and rebuild their relationship.


Auditions:
Auditions will be held on the week beginning 8th December 2014 or 15th December 2014.


Filming:
Filming will take place on the weeks beginning 5th January and 12th January 2015.

Filming is aimed to be around 4 days.
