Bite My Thumb is thrilled to announce it’s very very special performances of Brassed Off adapted by Paul Allen in 2016, in coproduction with three of the best regional theatre companies (Gravitas Entertainment, Northern Spark and Foot of the Barrel)

Brassed Off will be performed at The Carriageworks, Leeds from 1st to the 3rd September 2016. Very soon after this there will be two nights at a theatre venue near Halifax (9th & 10th Sept) and two very very special performances at The National Coal Mining Museum (26th & 27th August).

Not only is this a challenging and prestigious play for any actors CV but to be part of the only ever production of Brassed Off at the National Coal Mining Museum is very exciting indeed.

Auditions have taken place already (and some brilliantly talented people have been cast) but we are now holding reauditions which are open to ALL for a few roles.

Parts still to cast are 3 males and 1 female (please remember that all suggested ages are playing ages):

Danny: Male, 50+
Jim: Male, late 30 – late 50’s
Harry: Male, late 30 – late 50’s
Vera: Female, late 30 – late 50’s

The ability to play an instrument is NOT required.

Auditions will start at 6.30pm Wednesday 3rd February 2016 at Lofthouse Methodist Chapel, Leeds Road, Lofthouse, Wakefield. WF3 3NE (opposite the Royale Cantonese Restaurant).

Rehearsals will begin mid May on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
