The film covers a non-linear depiction of an individual's spiral through their identity. Scenarios play out which may or may not be of the present time. It opens with a man driving back to his family home for a special occasion. He comes across a hotel during his drive. This is where the male character meets the female at the bar. He is inexplicably drawn to her and cannot help but approach her table. They engage physically during his stay. The next morning, the woman awakens to the males unexplained disappearance, which she is not surprised by in the slightest. She proceeds to get up, put his clothes on and drive away in his car, arriving at the family gathering the male was meant to have attended, where she is greeted as a daughter with open arms.
