I'm currently producing an online documentary about the misconceptions of being light skinned or mixed race. I will be asking the following questions to the interviewees - 1. What is your cultural background?
2. Do you use the hastag #teamlightskin on social media?
3. What is the biggest misconception of being light skinned?
4. Some people might argue that light skin men and women are successful as actors, musicians etc because they appeal to a mainstream audience – Do you agree?
5. What are your thoughts on this quote - ‘light skin men and women have good hair’?
6. When you hear the term light skinned, do you think of a fair light skinned black person, a mixed raced race person or just both?
7. Why do you think the light skin vs dark skin debate is apart of Black, Asian and Latin culture?
8. Have you been persecuted for being light skinned?
9. Why do you think skin bleaching is popular?
10. Do you think people’s perception of light skinned men and women will change after watching this documentary?
