What is StagTalks?

Welcome to the inaugural episode of StagTalks, a series where Surrey’s best come to share the stories of their success. StagTalks is a live show that interviews University staff member/ researcher or alumni/a with the aim of exploring post-graduation life and the paths current students can take to achieve their dreams. The programme seeks to reveal the secrets to succeeding in your chosen degree, uncover current research being undertaken at the University and how current students can find their path to success. In essence, StagTalks aims to inform and motivate Surrey undergraduates through discussions with some of our best staff/ researchers or alumni/a.

What are we looking for?

Nodus Productions are looking for a confident interviewer. Ideally, candidates will be comfortable on camera and have prior experience in either acting, presenting, or performing; however, other skills will be considered. The role involves interviewing a University of Surrey staff member/researcher or alumni/a. It is important to state that this is a live television broadcast and would require someone capable of handling such pressure and comfortable enough to think on their feet. This role is perfect for those looking to expand their performing skills and those looking to further their C.V. This is an unpaid job, however travel expenses will be reimbursed and lunch provided.

What would this require?

If you are interested in participating there a few things to note: The programme is to be broadcast at the University of Surrey’s Television Studio and therefore all those potentially interested must make sure they can be on campus on the day of broadcast; Moreover, we may require the talent to be present at several pre-show meeting to discuss the programme itself and what to expect on the day of shooting. Finally those interested should be available on the day of broadcast for an hour. As it stands the programme is due to air on Wednesday the 25th of May.
