Arty Facts Radio Show [check FB for full links to all shows] - looking for Guests for July. It's a fun show about the realities of working in the arts. The station / show has a good reach - and is now an established show on the station. The more interesting/weird stories the better.

I'll ask for this:

ONE:

What song do you want to end the show on if you write songs can be one of your own [off CD or if you perform live performance at the end of the show]? ....



TWO:

Achievements I can mention, website/social media I can plug [on the show and listings]



THREE:

Photos – do send me as many as you like, and one crazy silly one that could be strange [which I can use as a teaser post]



FOUR:

The most important part... can you send me anecdotes/stories... if you can think of TEN... but the more you send the better the show – this is what makes your show good/interesting... so the more stories you can give me the better

That's it.

The stories - are the most important part. I will give some examples below. What I then do is 'write' the show, that is all the questions. And send them to you before the show.

Try to come up with your own, as if everyone just has 'similar' stories the shows won't be unique... but to inspire you here are some made up examples for the ten stories:

have you done a gig and not got paid as the promoter lied/ran off



had bands come to do a recording [come to a class, whatever makes sense for your act] – and they can’t play/broke up during the recording



had gig where the lights went off



been booked for a show and they thought you were someone else



performed an unplayable gig [sound system not good enough, crowd there for something else]



ever injured yourself on stage



ever been sued or had a cease and desist sent



ever heard your song when you haven’t expected it – like on the radio

Bad auditions

Met/worked with famous people - and made a mistake/etc


anything crazy, funny, sad, or embarrassing

RIGHT

Just contact me ASAP - as I need time to write the shows. Really looking for people for 7th July and 14th July - meet around 1pm at the station [near London Bridge or Borough Tube Stations]. If you can't make those dates - I can organise a pre-record [better to do it live though, more exciting]
