I am urgently looking for a male actor (>30 year-old) to take part on a student production
Job ID: 15399
Job Specifics:
Details:
As a musician, the event that I am organising is a small conference in which I will use the the short film and the soundtrack I wrote for it to demonstrate the power of music on emotions. Also, the short film will be exposed on social media followed by the day of the event itself. Me and the filmmaker will also try to make our way with it to film festivals, and propose the music event to different art galleries in London.
Being focused on the importance of music and emotions, Days in London doesn’t have a proper script. There is a background story rotating around two teenagers living in London, a boy and a girl, for a total of five scenes. Therefore, I am looking for actors willing to improvise around the scenes written down. Also, the short film will barely include dialogues, having to enhance the power of music. It will almost be a recreation of silent film nowadays. The two scenes that involve the character of the father are as follow:
Anxiety/Death (Third scene): The mother of the teenage boy receives a phone call. The music starts. She starts crying. She can’t walk, she is loosing her strength. Her husband comes and hugs her. She’s crying on his shoulder. The next seen is at the cemetery. A couple of people are standing around a grave. Everyone is wearing black and listening in silence. They are crying and have flowers in their hands. It’s a true moment of sadness. But there’s relief in the fact that the mother of the boy is pregnant. The husband looks at her. He is hugging her, he kisses her on the cheek, and caress the belly. End of the scene.
Happiness/Family (Fifth scene): A family moment. The parents put baby in bed. They are looking at him and smiling while he’s sleeping. A short look on the house and the stars. It’s night outside. Their sun (teenage boy) is on the train reading a book, heading home. He’s looking at a picture of his family and his new brother. He looks outside the window, he smiles. Next scene, the boy is at the door with his new girlfriend (music increasing). His parents open the door. They hug. They have dinner together, they chat and laugh. Then the boy goes to his brother’s room. He is looking at him. He smiles and finally turns the light off. End of the scene.
If it could help, I could send you part of the music related to the two scenes (which are going to be approximately two minutes long each).
The shooting will be set around West Hampstead and Cricklewood this Sunday. I will refund the travel expenses. On the day of the shooting I will provide drinks and food.
