Glasgow Film Crew are a group of volunteer filmmakers currently producing a low-no budget dystopian short film in Glasgow. We are calling for actors to audition for three main roles.

TWO MALE, ONE FEMALE | UNPAID (catering provided)

SYNOPSIS:

Room 102 is a room that doesn't really exist. When Blair wakes up in a stark interrogation room with the fastidious Goddard taking careful notes of his behaviour, he has a hard time subduing his anger at authority. But where is Room 102? Where is Blair's real family? Why is the Government burning artwork? Who does Goddard work for? None of these questions are answered in this single scene tribute to George Orwell's 1984.

ROLES:
-----------
Blair (Male, 25-45)
He is a man who feels passionately about individual freedom. He has a rebellious nature, but over time has been broken by the authorities. He is desperate about his situation but can hide this desperation when needed, as he is a good actor.

Goddard (Male, 25-45)
He is an articulate man who adheres to rules and is fastidious about regulation. He has faith in the government and places the system above people. He holds the belief that human beings are like machines and can be reprogrammed. One could say he has a drone mentality - he is happy to be part of the system and scared of individual free human thought. He patronizes people who disagree with his view of the world.

Authority Figure (Female, 30-50)
She is strict, imposing and is used to people following her orders. She is aware of the power in her hands and is not afraid to use it. She does not have concern for the feelings of others and does not feel pity.
