The narrator voices part of the narrative, so is reading for around 50% of the show. There is no need to be off-book so this is a perfect role for vocal/voice actors. She embodies a Mother Nature aura, narrating Michael K’s inner journey and his relationship with the land. A warm and welcoming presence for the audience when reading, she will also have a role in creating the sense of war and chaos when not reading.
