Farishta: Film Brief
This is a short film that shows a snippet in the life of two students, Farishta and Jai, who were in love and had a very close relationship. The film is mainly a narrative from the point of view of each character and shows a flashback of their previous life together. It is revealed that they were separated and towards the end of the film explains how this happened. The format of the film will be a romantic montage, and the film will have a narrative structure up to the reveal at the end of the film where it will become dark and experimental. The film has been inspired by the recent story of Anuj Bidve. Anuj was an international student from India, who was shot and killed in the UK.


We need an actress who is between 18 to 30 years of age. The ethnicity can be Pakistani, Indian, Middle eastern, or mixed race. Anyone who has a beige skin tone is also acceptable. Any physical characteristics are acceptable.
