Whats the job?

We need a female to play the role of a fiancée in a hidden camera expose series to be on youtube initially ( we are pitching relentlessly to productions companies too) visiting jewellers to expose the lack of knowledge about the origin of gold/diamonds/gemstones they sell. Conflict diamonds.

You will be posing as a customer buying an engagement ring and asking questions about the origins of the diamonds or gold used to make the ring. You will be working with a jewellery designer with in depth knowledge of the gemstone supply chain to get to bottom of the jewellers knowledge and more importantly what they are prepared to share with customers.

We'll be doing peices to camera before and after entering each jewellers but the footage inside the jewellers will be recorded with a hidden camera.

A script with many questions will be used as the basis for these exchanges and a certain amount of improvisation is required and good memory of the questions is essential.


When

We would like to start ASAP, we'll be visiting jewellers all over the country but will be starting in Herts/essex/cambs hitting several stores in 1 days, approx start 9.30AM to 5PM


Payment

The only revenue we anticipate earning from this venture is any add revenue via youtube of which you will earn a share. This is an issue we care passionately about and the main point of the exercise is to expose the lies jewellers tell and to drive change in the industry.

We will be doing as much as possible promote the videos and gain as large an audience as possible, for us to raise our issue and for you to gain exposure.

If your passionate about these or other ethical issues then this may be an interesting project for you, however I cannot guarantee much of an income or a huge audience.


Risks

The jewellers and possibly the trade at large will not welcome many of these questions, although it will be published by myself and we take fully responsibility for the content, by featuring in content like this we cant guarantee you will not be contacted by these companies.
