Job Specifics:
Details:
Shot through the lens of a weightlifter, and narrated by the slam poetry piece "Lessons in Olympic Weightlifting" by poet Adele Hampton.
We see our protagonist getting ready and slowly performing a lift alone in a gym. The lift sequence is intercut with shots of various women of different ages, shapes and ethnicities. We see their strength through their bodies: pregnancy, childbirth, wrinkled skin, bruising, survivors of breast cancer...
Our weightlifter demonstrates how powerful and strong the female body is and how encouraging and empowering it is to find that inner strength - and to see it in others.
