This casting is for a final MA Fine Art Degree Show at the Royal College of Art, London. The name of the project is Requiem for Europa, and it consists of a three part event being prepared exclusively for the show. This part, alongside a publication and an audio piece, will be on display permanently for the duraiton of the show.

The idea behind this performance is to generate a \'casting for europa\', the Greek godess captured by Zeus and taken to Crete. During the entire ten days of the show, 150 Europa candidates (15 per day) will be brought to the show and tasked with being Europa, as a part of the public, for 3 hours. This job is only open to women, however, all ages, ethnicities and previous experiences are welcome to apply. The role will entail being part of the public and performing one\'s own interpretation of what Europa is, was, or could be.

All candidates who come to the show will receive a free publication, as well as credits within the publication, and all the recorded material of their different interventions in the show.

The dates for the show are 24 June to July 5. This will not require any previous rehearsals, and as mentioned earlier, would only require one 3 hour intervention.
Europa
This is the main and only character of the event. All ages, physical characteristics, accents and any ethnicity are welcome to apply. The job is only open to women.
This character, the representation of the Greek goddess captured by Zeus, will be open to free interpretation to all the participants. A form of live casting will then ensue.
