Actress to play the role of lead character Anya\'s mother. Forbidden Fruit follows 15-year-old Anya as she leaves school and returns home, pushing her way through street harassment and unwanted sexual advances and displays. When she reaches her home, rather than be objectified, her body and sexuality face disapproval and erasure. After struggling between both societies fetishisation of teenage girls and cultural eradication of adolescent female sexuality, Anya finds freedom to express and explore her desires in the solitude of her room.

Anya\'s mother finds it hard to accept that Anya is growing up and worries about how she presents herself. Although only appearing in the film briefly, she is essential in demonstrating how difficult it is for adolescent girls to express their sexuality.
