Melanie is the key role of our film opening and closing the movie. She is a lovely and strong Nigerian mum in her 30s who sings to his child every night to make him fall asleep. She is also the reason why the protagonist goes through a quest looking for the song his mum sang to him everyday. Her memory is what makes the main character never give up even when he thinks he played all of his cards.
