City of Manchester - Join us on our Christmas Number 1 journey to keep The XFactor off that number one spot AND raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

With some well known faces already involved we need more people to join the ride and feature in the video!

We are looking to fill a variety of roles and only need a short amount of your time on either the 9th or 10th November in Manchester... All transport, catering etc can be provided.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

Whilst on this journey we are also going to be working to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support by donating 50% of the profits from the download sales PLUS 50% of the publishing royalties.

Cancer is a subject close to nearly everyone’s hearts, with nearly all families being touched by it at some point and we want to give back to the Macmillan team who support these families tirelessly with support, help and guidance.


BACKGROUND

With over 20 years in the field of music James and David have joined forces and are releasing a single with the aim to get it to Christmas Number 1 along with raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Having met at a detox clinic the two have formed a firm friendship and both are well on the road of recovery and maintaining their sobriety. Coming out of detox James was high on life and revisited some of his upbeat tracks he had made previously and the Christmas Number 1 stood out from the rest. Slightly nervous about getting back into music as it can come hand-in-hand with drink and drugs James realised that the penny had already dropped in regards to his recovery and he is very passionate about attending 5 groups per week which keep him on the clean path. He works very hard at his recovery and has to work hard every day to keep happy and positive, this is what helps keep him on his chosen path of life and with the daily hits of the SHINNy Show his positivity and love of life is rubbing off on his followers and showing them that anything is possible… even achieving a Christmas Number 1!

Since starting on this journey, James has achieved a massive following on social media in particular the ‘Christmas Number 1 Facebook Group’ which has nearly 50,000 followers who tune in up to three times a day for updates on the progress of the single and to hear from James who has touched the hearts of the whole of Salford, Manchester and even reaching further afield into Europe, Australia and the Middle East too.

We have seen unbelievable support from the local community and believe this is the start of a massive movement within Salford and Manchester and will give us the opportunity to showing the world the good that is here and what real people from real communities can achieve.
