Details:

"Shock-Headed Peter" (German: "Struwwelpeter") is a collection of macabre fairytales from 19th century author Heinrich Hoffman.

The eponymous "Shock-Headed Peter" is a little boy berated by his parents, Herr and Frau Grausam, for his scruffy, unkempt appearance. They send him to his room, and refuse to let him come down until he tidies himself up. Months go by, and finally they go to investigate. They are horrified to discover that Peter has taken on a horrific appearance, with wild, long hair, nails that are metres long, and an ashen face.

This short film will take on a special Deutsch quality, paying homage to the work of Bertolt Brecht, Fritz Lang and others. Needless to say, leave your naturalistic acting at home...

We are looking for actors to play the roles of:
- Peter, a disobedient, scruffy 10 year old boy.
- Frau Grausam, Peter's dragon-like mother
- Herr Grausam, Peter's mean-spirited father

We would prefer those with theatre experience, but by no means essential. Unfortunately the role is not paid, but expenses and lunch/ refreshments will be provided, and in return for your talent and time you will have a unique and memorable addition to your portfolio.

Auditions will be held Thursday the 3rd and Friday the 4th of December in Hendon, NW4, and shooting will take place Monday the 14th of December in East Finchley, N2
