I’m working on a short film (approx. 20 mins) with Southampton University and am looking for actors. It’s a screwball comedy in the vein of Jerry Lewis, Luc Moullet, Alex Ross Perry, and Elaine May.
Synopsis:
Eric has just been released from the mental hospital, which he was admitted to following a failed suicide attempt. Afraid of facing his family, he decides to stay with his estranged cousin Ben, who’s recently broken up with his long-term girlfriend. Pretty soon, Eric is roped into accompanying Ben to their upper school reunion, where they re-connect with a series of old acquaintances, most of whom have an axe to grind.
I’m looking to cast the following parts:
Eric: 18-25..
Ben: 18-25.
Nathan: 18-25.
Winston: 18-25.
Dr. Elster: 20-35.
Rick. 18-25.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to pay the actors who take part, but I hope to send the final product to short film festivals and have it featured on Mubi Notebook.
