We are making a short film for a film festival. We are looking for a 35 strong ensemble cast.

The film is a fly-on-the-wall style one-shot which follows a variety of women* around a science/academic setting. A few minutes following one character, then the story passes to another via a small interaction between the previous focus character and the next. We see the small, daily challenges that these women* face and how they react. Characters and plot have been developed following interviews of real women* in science and an online survey. The entire film will be done in one take to engender the feeling of how these challenges are so constant and let the viewer step into the shoes of the characters and how many areas of their lives can be quite overwhelming. Its main theme is intersectional feminism and its need in the scientific work environment.

Who we're looking for:
We need a 35-strong ensemble cast. All genders, races and ages. 3 parts have a monologue. Due to the script we are particularly looking for

-A woman with at least shoulder length natural hair
-A transwoman
-A woman with a playing age of 40s (one of the monologues)
-A man with a playing age of 40s or older

Logistics :
-There will be a table read one evening in the week beginning 13th Feb (date to be decided with a doodle poll)
-Filming 9 - 5 pm 25th and 26th of February. The first day is a rehearsal for the one take which will be 15-20 mins long. The second day is the actual filming. So you **must** be free both days.
-I'm afraid it is expenses only :( so you must be based in London. Lunch and tea and coffee will be provided.
